To help you make the right decision as to whether an item is suitable for you, we've decided to write this little guide incorporating the simple steps you need to take when purchasing online. Some of these steps may seem obvious to those experienced clothing buyers, however, its essential that they are always taken into consideration when buying vintage clothing:

1. BUY A TAPE MEASURE!! - we can never stress enough the importance of checking the measurements we provide to those of a well fitting item of your own. We take the time to measure every item we sell, you will be able to gauge the fit far more accurately by using our measurements. Another useful tip is to measure similar items, for example, if you are looking at a t-shirt, measure one of your t-shirts, if you are watching a jacket, measure a jacket etc etc...

2. SIZING!! - there are many factors to consider when buying vintage clothing online. The first is that the size we use in a title is OUR RECOMMENDATION, this may not necessarily be the size you consider it to be. Everyone has a different interpretation on sizing, so as mentioned above, check the measurements!! Also, the tag size may not be an accurate representation as to the items actual size, clothing guides have changed drastically over the past few decades and manufacturers now produce to a completely different size scale than that of 20-30 years ago. So again, check the measurements!!

3. READ THE LISTING!! - we understand that you do not want to be reading pages and pages of text when you can clearly see the pictures!! That said, the description can contain important information regarding the items fit, style and condition that a camera may not be able to illustrate. Please be aware that unless stated otherwise, our items have been pre-worn, pre-washed and may exhibit signs of wear such as faded/bobbling fabric, cracking print and missing tags. This is merely the nature of vintage clothing, we always aim to state and photograph any major defect so please take a second to read the description and examine the pictures.
